Trade Nation Acquires FXCM UK Client Base From Stratos Markets
FCA-regulated broker Trade Nation has agreed to absorb the UK customers of Stratos Markets Limited, the firm behind FXCM and Tradu brands.
Trade Nation, a London-based spread betting and contracts-for-difference specialist regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, has reached an agreement to take on the United Kingdom client base of Stratos Markets Limited, the entity that operates in Britain under the FXCM and Tradu brand names, according to an announcement dated October 7, 2026.
The deal represents a transfer of retail trading accounts from one FCA-regulated firm to another, a process that typically requires regulatory oversight and direct communication with affected clients before any migration is completed. Stratos Markets Limited had maintained a presence in the UK market under the widely recognized FXCM name, which has served retail forex and CFD traders for years.

Trade Nation has positioned itself as a growing alternative brokerage in the UK retail trading space, focusing on spread betting and CFD products. The acquisition of an established client book from a recognized brand such as FXCM could meaningfully expand its active user base without the need to build that customer pipeline organically.
The move reflects continued consolidation within the UK retail forex and derivatives sector, where regulatory costs, compliance requirements, and competitive pressures have prompted firms to restructure or exit certain markets. Clients currently held under the Stratos Markets umbrella in the UK are expected to be among those directly affected by the transition.
